Tri-State Spring Chess Open

in one of two divisions:
Open to all.
Monetary prizes for top score in each class. Prize fund equals 80% of open division entry fees. Minimum of 5 in each class or classes may be combined.
Game 70 minutes each, sudden death
Trophies awarded by school grade section: All players will receive at least a participation trophy.
1st and
under:
3rd and under: 5 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750
6th and under: 5 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750
8th and under: 5 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750
12th and Under: 5 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750
Additional place trophies awarded as participant numbers increase.

Please bring your own chess sets for skittles and clocks for the rounds.
Notation not required in scholastic division. Notation will not be collected in scholastic division.
Giant chess set for the kids to
play on and 4 DGT electronic chess boards will project top games for spectator
enjoyment.
